Yadav has lived and worked in Blackheath for over 25 years, becoming a well-known and much-loved part of the local community. His journey in hospitality began during his university days, where he worked as General Manager at Chapter Two—an acclaimed modern European restaurant and sister to the award-winning Chapter One in Locksbottom.
Driven by a deep passion for food, culture, and people, Yadav followed his heart to Blackheath, where in 2005, alongside his family and a close-knit team, he opened Everest Inn. Since day one, his mission has been to bring authentic Nepalese cuisine and heartfelt hospitality to the village he calls home.
Yadav's commitment to the community runs deeper than the dishes he serves. “I’ve always loved being part of the local community—engaging with people, giving something back—that’s the true beauty of running a restaurant,” he says.
Over the years, Yadav has cultivated meaningful relationships with Everest Inn’s guests, many of whom he now considers family. “It’s about making people happy, providing quality food, and delivering a service people won’t forget.”
And it’s not just about meals—it’s about memories. Under Yadav’s leadership, Everest Inn has hosted hundreds of birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and over 100 weddings. Some couples who celebrated with Everest Inn in their early days are now proud parents, and their children have grown up alongside the restaurant’s journey—some even returning as young adults to continue the tradition.
“We hold such joyful memories of being part of your special moments over the years. That’s the true gift of this work—we’ve been honoured to witness your stories and share in your happiness. You treat us like family, and we cherish you as our own.”
Yadav’s passion for people, culture, and food has made Everest Inn more than just a restaurant—it’s a home for celebration, connection, and community.
Based between the UK and Nepal, Pashupati Bhandari has spent over 30 years building businesses and bringing people together. After completing an MBA in the UK, he followed his entrepreneurial instincts and founded the Everest Inn Group—now an award-winning name in hospitality. But his journey doesn’t stop at just restaurants. From hydroelectric projects in the mountains of Nepal to supporting local sports clubs in the UK, his work bridges cultures and communities. He’s passionate about promoting Nepalese culture, creating opportunities, and making a difference—whether through food, tourism, or charity work.
He’s received national honours, including the Prabal Jana Sewa Shree award from the President of Nepal, and has been recognised as a community hero for his efforts during COVID-19.
“It’s about connection,” he says. “Building businesses is one thing, but building trust, shared moments, and community—that’s what truly matters.”
Over the years, he’s helped host countless festivals, fundraisers, and family milestones. Through it all, he’s remained grounded in his mission: to celebrate culture, support communities, and strengthen the bond between Nepal and the UK.
For 20 years, Chef Shanker Pandey has been at the forefront of flavours. Born and raised in Western Nepal, where food is central to the culture, during his early years, Shanker helped his mother and grandmother cook for their family over an open wood stove - sparking his passion for flavour. He studied Hospitality, training under renowned chefs like Andrew Bodmer, Mark Lagos, and Jacqueline Apps and in 2005 joined the Everest Inn family in Hythe and became the executive chef of the group of restaurants.
Properly focussed on bringing the best of Nepalese cooking he blends traditional flavours and techniques with contemporary methods. Amazingly, he featured on television with Rick Stein last year — a significant moment for the recognition of Nepalese cuisine worldwide.
“Believing in the importance of nurturing talent” Shanker has implemented various initiatives within Everest Inn and is dedicated to sharing his knowledge with others. His focus on teamwork drives the ethos at Everest Inn: 'We're a family, and we all work together.'

He later trained as a chef in India and worked in kitchens for two years before returning to Nepal, where he worked at Shikhar Hotel and Nature Land Hotel.
In 2009, Ram joined Everest Inn as a sous chef. With guidance from Executive Chef Shankar Pandey, he became head chef at the Blackheath location eight years ago. His favourite dish is the Everest Inn Lamb Shank, and he loves working with his family. After 13 years at Everest Inn, Ram remains passionate about bringing authentic Nepalese flavours to the table.
Krish is often at the forefront of the restaurant, greeting the wonderful customers who walk through the door. For him, the most rewarding part of working at Everest Inn is the deep connection the team has built with the local community. It’s not just a restaurant—it’s a place where everyone feels they are making a real difference.
Promoting Nepalese food and culture, especially at No. 10, is a source of immense pride for Krish and the team at the restaurant. There is a strong sense of responsibility among the staff to uphold the restaurant’s legacy, and for him reaching the 20-year milestone stands as a testament to their dedication and hard work.
Krish loves being a part of the warm, inclusive, and grounded culture. " I love the small yet meaningful traditions at Everest—like sharing dinner after service, celebrating Staff Day with families, and honouring significant festivals such as Diwali- it's so important for us to promote this sense of belonging. We have a simple but powerful philosophy—treat every customer as if they were your own guest— and we are always striving to exceed those expectations".
